Dr Sarah Hubber, Registered Osteopath
B.App.Sci.(Comp.Med.), M.Osteo.
Sarah Hubber joined the team at HOC after completing her osteopathic studies at RMIT University , Bundoora, in 2007.
Sarah grew up in a large family in Melbourne's north-eastern suburbs and attended Genazzano FCJ College, Kew. After completing year 12 she began a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, however, she discontinued her studies after eighteen months and decided to broaden her horizons. It was during this time that Sarah learnt more about Osteopathy and decided to transfer her studies to RMIT. She completed the undergraduate degree in 2005 and completed the Master of Osteopathy in 2007.
Throughout her time at university, Sarah was strongly involved with both the Banyule and Macelod football clubs, acting as a sports trainer and rehabilitation assistant. This allowed her to apply her osteopathic knowledge in treating and aiding the recovery of injured athletes. She was also an integral part of the Victoria Metro U16 Men's Basketball team who successfully competed at the National's, winning back-to-back gold medals in 2006 and 2007. Sarah looks forward to being involved with the team in 2008 also.
Sarah is also an active participant in sport herself, having competed in netball at a state level for seven years, whilst also a keen rower in her school days. She currently plays social netball and indoor beach volleyball, and has a keen interest in coaching and developing junior netball teams.
Sarah's future education lies in pediatric and adolescent health. She has worked with children aged 0 to 5 years old over the past two years at a community playgroup centre and took great joy in watching the children develop and grow. Osteopathic treatment can be an integral part of a child's early development, especially during periods of growth, by aiding in the prevention of any problems becoming an on-going or chronic condition.
Sarah is a passionate and dedicated Osteopath who will endeavour to get to the source of your problem, whether you're a weekend athlete or you lead a physically demanding lifestyle. Sarah is a strong believer in health maintenance and through her skills and previous experience, she will work with you to individualise a treatment plan that will allow you to develop the skills to maintain optimal health for you .
Sarah is very pleased to be part of the team at HOC, offering osteopathic care to the whole family in a relaxed and caring environment. Please feel free to call Sarah to discuss whether Osteopathy may be beneficial to you, your family or friends. |
